Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools are open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 & 14. The participant must be 6 years of age prior to or on the last day of the An Post FAI Summer Soccer School that they are attending.

Insurance: All An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools venues will be covered by Public Liability Insurance but not for Personal Accident.

Fees: Once the fees have been received, a receipt will be issued either by email or post. The receipt is confirmation of your place on the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools. Cheque and Postal Orders should be made payable to the Football Association of Ireland.

Medical Consent Form: The FAI will not permit any child to participate in the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools Programme without a medical consent form signed by their parent(s)/guardian(s). By signing up to the Programme you give your permission to allow your child to be given medical treatment either by way of first aid by a suitably qualified person or by a doctor. You also consent to your child being taken to a doctor or hospital in case of emergency. The FAI reserve the right to refuse an applicant based on the information provided on the medical consent form. If there is any change to the medical information you provided on your application form you must inform us prior to your Summer Soccer School.

Damages/Injuries/Loss of Possessions:
The An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools are staffed by accredited FAI Coaches who will implement the highest safety measures. The FAI will not be held responsible for damages, injuries or loss of possessions. We strongly recommend that all valuables be left at home.
At mainstream An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools children may be asked to assume the position of Goalkeeper from time to time. The parent / guardian of any child who does not wish their child to assume this position must make it known to the Head Coach on the first day of the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools programme. In the absence of such notification it shall be deemed that the parent / guardian has consented to their child assuming a goalkeeping position if requested to do so by a coach.

Conduct: Participants must follow the instructions of the coaching staff in charge. Misbehaviour or bullying may result in the participant being expelled from the An Post FAI Summer Soccer School and the fee will not be refunded. In the interest of safety, participants are not permitted to leave the An Post FAI Summer Soccer School Programme during the coaching session times of 10.30 and 15.00 without the written consent of a parent/guardian. If a child is expelled from the An Post FAI Summer Soccer School their 
parent/guardian will be contacted immediately and appropriate arrangements for the collection of the child shall be made.

General Information: The FAI Local Venue Co-ordinator and Head Coach are responsible to the FAI for all activities for the duration of the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools Programme at his/her local venue. The FAI Head Coach in charge will manage all coaching activities during the Soccer School week in his/her venue.

Photographic or Video Permission: All participants on the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools Programme may be used in photographic or video material for promotional purposes by the FAI. If the participating child is under a court order or is in care of the HSE the parent/guardian must advise the FAI of this in writing before the commencement of the An Post  FAI Summer Soccer Schools. If any parent/guardian does not want their child to be photographed or videoed by the FAI for promotional purposes, the parent/guardian must express this is writing to the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools Programme PO Box 16, Clonakilty, Co. Cork prior to the commencement of the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools.

Weather: The FAI shall not be accountable should the An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools programme activities be suspended or cancelled due to bad weather. In cases where the weather is deemed so bad that coaching activities have to be suspended, the coaching staff will be available to supervise alternative indoor activities, only if the host club or venue can provide such an indoor facility. Please note the vast majority of An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools venues cannot provide indoor playing facilities. Should such a facility not be available and the weather shows no signs of improving, the FAI will contact the parent or guardian to advise them of the suspension of coaching activities if necessary. It will then be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to make arrangements to collect their child. The coaching staff will supervise all children until they have been collected.

Cancellations: All cancellations must be notified to An Post FAI Summer Soccer Schools Programme PO Box 16, Clonakilty, Co. Cork or phone 1890 653 653. All cancellations carry a 20% cancellation fee, except where the cancellation is made after the Summer Soccer School has commenced in which case there is no refund.

Refunds: No refunds will be made after the playing kit has been presented to the participants or should the cancellation be notified after the camp has commenced. In the unlikely event that inclement weather forces the cancellation of the full week's activities a full refund will be issued. If inclement weather causes only partial cancellation of the week, no refund will be issued. The FAI must be notified of any refund queries before Monday 20th September 2010.

Umbro's code of ethics known as the Code of Conduct is based on the ETI Base Code which reflects relevant International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions. Umbro is an active member of FAIR Labour Association (FLA) and World Sporting Goods Federation Industry (WSGF) who both recognise ETI base code as a code of standard. Umbro have a strategic planned monitoring and remediation programme which complies with FLA requirements across its global supply base which include the use of an internal monitoring team, nominated external auditors (Bureau Veritas) and FLA Independent announced and unannounced auditing.
