What To Bring For Lunch

Lunch Box

The following are some suggested items to include in your lunch box during the Summer Soccer Schools:

Sandwich or Roll
Chicken / Cheese / Ham / Turkey / Tuna / Banana / Salad
Piece of Fruit
Banana / Apple / Pear / Orange / Peach
Fruit Juice Orange / Apple / Mixed Fruit
Yoghurt Full fat fruit yoghurt or mini versions or a yoghurt drink
Snacks
Muesli bar / Rice Cakes / Snack size chocolate bar / Popcorn
Water
1 Bottle each day (refill)

Lunch

What will I bring to drink?

Remember that you will be active for most of the day, and using up lots of energy! This means that you need to have plenty of water to re-hydrate, and good food as fuel to keep you going all day long.

Please select one from each of the categories above for your lunch box. Vary your lunch pack around by having different choices of sandwiches, fruit and snacks each day.

If this seems like a lot, then remember it is better to have a little extra to begin with, and then bring it home if it's not eaten. If you are cutting down - make sure that the three starred items(*) are definitely included.

Try to avoid too many crisps, chocolate or fizzy drinks. As long as you eat good, healthy food - as a treat every now and again, they are fine.
